Meet Crimendel96: A Master of Color Realism & Chromatic Tattooing

We are excited to introduce Gustavo Rivero, better known as Crimendel96, as a member of the Onyx Proteam. Originally from Venezuela and Colombia, Gustavo is now based in Stockholm/Södertälje, Sweden, where he has spent years developing his distinctive approach to tattooing.
With 12 years of experience in the tattoo industry, Crimendel96 has built a reputation for highly detailed, dynamic tattoos, with a particular focus on full-color chromatic work and color realism, while also mastering black-and-grey realism.
Mastering Full-Color Chromatic & Realism
Crimendel96’s signature style is defined by his ability to work with intense color, contrast, depth, and realism. His full-color chromatic tattoos combine technical precision with a strong understanding of color, allowing him to create pieces that feel vibrant, dimensional, and alive.
Although color is at the heart of his artistic identity, Gustavo is equally comfortable working in black and grey realism. His versatility allows him to approach different subjects and styles while maintaining the level of detail and quality that has become characteristic of his work.
For Crimendel96, tattooing is an ongoing process of experimentation and refinement. Every piece is an opportunity to explore new techniques, improve his execution, and push his own artistic limits.
An Award-Winning International Artist
Over the years, Crimendel96 has taken his work to major tattoo conventions and international events, representing his craft on stages across Europe and beyond.
Among his most significant achievements are two Best of Show awards at the Nordic Ink Festival in Denmark, as well as recognition for his color work, including Best Tattoo Color.
His journey has also included participation in major international conventions such as World of Ink and the Milano Tattoo Convention, placing him among artists who continue to build their careers through international competition, collaboration, and exposure.
These experiences have played an important role in Gustavo’s evolution as an artist, constantly challenging him to develop his technique and compete at the highest level.
